After 35 years of leading change in organisations – large and small – across the world, I was beginning to wonder whether I was still ‘up to the job’ given the challenging nature of the world currently.
Attending Movements of Transformation gave me the perfect container within which to critically assess my existing practice and to reframe what needs to emerge. A genuine co-creative space with deeply experienced practitioners pushing the boundaries of what is possible. An energising, challenging and impactful week. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to explore the evolutionary edges of their practice.

My most valuable experience during Movements of Transformation was the clear and intentional structure of the interventions. This grounding framework created a strong foundation that allowed me – and I believe many others – to truly lean into the process, explore the open space, and gather relevant insights with both curiosity and clarity.
What stood out as well was the experimental and embodied learning approach. It wasn’t just about receiving input, but about engaging with it – and with each other. The interaction within the group became a vital asset in itself, allowing for moments of reflection, co-creation, and mutual learning that enriched the overall experience.
It was a rare and powerful combination: structure and spaciousness, depth and play, guidance and exploration. I’m grateful to have been part of it.

I throughly enjoyed this program for many reasons:
In a supported context. The emphasis on working on ourself, us the practitioner. The right balance between theory / practice and debrief. What has changed for me after the program:

The MOT is not a training, it does not have a fixed program. But it is guided by two people with a lot of experience and knowledge, who sense which topics within the field of Transformation are the topics that fit best in the moment.
They also share their not knowing in this field, because there is a lot of not knowing. With or without fear they step into the unknown and guide the group to do so as well. Great learnings and insights this brings.
Although I have about 20 years of experience in the systemic field, my insights about transformation and myself in this field have deepened. Thanks again for this great experience.

At the beginning of February 2024, I attended the 3-day training Systemic Interventions in Teams & Organisations. Together with a wonderful international group, all deeply passionate about viewing teams and organizations through a systemic and phenomenological lens, we embarked on a truly beautiful journey, deep within ourselves and far, far beyond.
It felt like stepping into a warm bath. A beautiful location, an incredibly pleasant group, and the amazing trainers Jan Jacob Stam and Dees van de Hoef. Two extraordinary people who embody systemic work and had long been on my wish list to learn from live.
And I learned so much. I gained such valuable insights and so many tools to support entrepreneurs, teams, and organizations. My backpack is once again filled with new resources.
But the most important thing I received was the feeling of permission. Permission to truly do things in my own way. Permission to step off the beaten path. Permission to fully bring myself into the work and explore new ways of doing things.
Jan Jacob Stam and Dees van de Hoef, thank you so much for this fantastic deepening experience and for helping me come home to myself even more. This will be incredibly helpful in allowing me to be even more present and clear in supporting others.

The 3 day workshop was a very rewarding learning experience and one that I recommend to every leader who wishes to increase efficiency and performance on teams and organizations.
The 3 days are packed with a set of tools easy to implement and designed to provide insightful information that can be applied towards team development as a whole but also to each member of the team and consequently the organization.
Jan Jacob and Dees were incredibly generous in the way both shared information and experience giving the group solid and very hands on systemic resources to apply, whilst giving each participant the opportunity for self-observation and self-development.
Also the organization and logistics were perfect and Marloes was very helpful. Loved the venue and the food.

The three days of the workshop were, for me, a meaningful crescendo of understanding, feeling and connecting. It helped a lot that I read Jan Jacob’s book “Teams … a love story” before arriving in Groningen so, being already aware of most concepts, I could dedicate my attention and energy in full to the practical deep dives we experienced every day.
I can wholeheartedly say that the workshop was transformational for me as a person and as a companion to the leadership teams I work with. I gained new answers to some important questions I had and I also gained new questions that I did not know before how important are to me.
I strongly hope Dees and Jan Jacob find the energy to design and bring to life a follow-up workshop, as I would be very grateful to continue this transformation journey under their gentle, straightforward and wise guidance.”

This three-day intense was the missing link in my repertoire as guide. It gave me the frames, questions and tools that connects many other fields in coaching, team coaching and leadership development.
Jan Jacob and Dees, your wise, essential and vibrant guidance brought us as a group much closer to our full potential. Thanks so much!

Two things stood out for me. The really deep and broad understanding from both Jan Jacob and Dee’s about 101 issues in society, organizations and the systemic principles and experience they have and were able to teach us.
Secondly the way they teached us repeatedly in becoming (more than skills only) a better companion (facilitator) from the client who is the expert and explorer from his or her issue and context.
I’ve many clients so a lot of opportunities to use the principles and diagnose and one of the many tools and interventions.
Even a few (different than before) questions I ask have already a whole different and deeper impact on my clients.
If you dare to be disturbed yourself as a leader or coach, seek really deeper understanding, tools and skills in the systemic area, and you’ve a role where there’s need and space to to something different than this 6-day intensive will really impact you and your context.
Don’t assign if you’re only looking for knowledge and standards ;/)

For me, the 6-day Intensive was a true win–win experience – for myself personally, for my work, and for my team. It is difficult to capture everything in just a few sentences, but I can say that I returned more aware, more grounded, and more deeply connected to my own leadership patterns.
I applied the new insights immediately upon returning home, and the changes were visible right away – in the quality of communication, team dynamics, and decision-making. This program strengthened not only my leadership, but also the overall functioning of my team.
